The world is witnessing a new wave of uprisings across Muslim-majority countries, bringing hope for a brighter future free from authoritarian regimes. In nations like Bangladesh and Syria, long-standing dictatorships have begun to crumble under the weight of people's resistance. Leaders like Bashar Al-Assad and Sheikh Hasina, notorious for their oppressive policies, have faced unprecedented opposition. However, the transition to a stable and democratic society remains fraught with challenges, particularly in Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, the aftermath of the July Uprising has seen the emergence of an interim government tasked with rebuilding the nation. However, the remnants of the fascist Hasina regime are actively sabotaging progress, aiming to destabilize the interim administration. These collaborators have resorted to violence, including the assassination of six coordinators of the uprising, to intimidate and regain control. Their actions threaten the fragile peace and progress of the country.

The anti-fascist political parties, such as the BNP and Jamaat, are urging the interim government to expedite elections, unwilling to wait until 2026. This urgency, while understandable, has created tension and mistrust among the parties opposing the fascist regime. On the other hand, the interim government, composed largely of non-political figures, struggles to maintain control and implement necessary reforms. Their failure to take firm legal action against the collaborators of the previous regime has further emboldened these elements, jeopardizing the nation’s recovery.

To uphold the spirit of the July Uprising, all political parties, supporters, and coordinators must unite in supporting the interim government. This unity is crucial to rebuilding the country and ensuring the sacrifices of the uprising are not in vain. The interim government, in turn, must take decisive action against those attempting to sabotage the nation’s progress. Strong measures, accountability, and transparency are essential to restoring trust and maintaining stability.

While Bangladesh navigates its path to recovery, the Muslim world faces another grave crisis: the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Israeli forces have continued their indiscriminate killing of innocent Palestinians, with the global community largely silent in the face of these atrocities. It is imperative for Muslim-majority nations to set aside their differences and work together to halt this genocide. Unity and coordinated action are the only ways to protect the innocent and challenge the oppressive forces.

The current era is a turning point for the Muslim world. The uprisings signal the people’s desire for freedom, justice, and dignity. However, achieving these goals requires unity, resilience, and strong leadership. In Bangladesh, supporting the interim government is essential to solidify the gains of the uprising. Globally, Muslim nations must come together to address the plight of Palestinians and other oppressed communities.

The road ahead is challenging, but with collective effort and determination, a new era of hope and justice can emerge. Let us honor the sacrifices of those who fought for freedom and work tirelessly to build a better future for all.
