Unemployment Problem

Education is the backbone of the nation. Education removes prejudices, gives people the light of knowledge. It promotes harmony among people and enriches culture and civilization. Work-oriented education is needed not only for employment but also for development. New discoveries in science and social, economic and cultural advances have opened new horizons for human life. As a result, the days of certain living by adopting hereditary professional scholarship are over. Rather, specialized education has become essential to the ever-expanding horizons of work. For this reason, in the modern world, vocational education is gaining more importance than general education. Once upon a time, the people of Bangladesh lived happily living in endless natural resources. He did not have to think about scholarship or professional education. He has made a living by adopting hereditary profession. But now that day is no more. The population has now grown enormously. He is under tremendous pressure on limited resources. As a result, if our country does not move forward on the path of new employment and progress by utilizing scientific and technological progress, an inevitable crisis will come down in the national life. But sadly the country still has a predominance of general education suitable for making clerks in the conventional education system introduced during the English period. As a result, those who are leaving school, college and university are being cursed with unemployment due to lack of education in vocational education and are losing confidence in life due to severe depression. For this reason, as the days go by, everyone is realizing the importance of career oriented or vocational education. In the last decade of the twentieth century, the importance of vocational education has been especially realized in our country. It is now clear that in the present reality, the expansion of career oriented vocational education has become essential. As it can play an effective role in the progress of the country, it is also able to make a fruitful contribution in reducing unemployment through employment in the country and abroad. This can save many families from unrest. The spread of this education will reduce the unwanted crowd in general and higher education. Apart from that, vocational education can create various opportunities for self-employment and as a result it can play an effective role in maintaining the economic stability of the country and alleviating poverty. Career-oriented education not only creates new employment opportunities – it can ensure the development and economic growth of the country by playing a positive role in various fields of agriculture, industry and trade. From there, career-oriented education can also play a fruitful role in shaping the economic foundation of the nation. Career-oriented education builds the confidence of the individual to take up an independent profession, makes him self-reliant and thus saves the nation from a large number of unemployment and protects him from the curse of dependency. In an age of astonishing advances in science, career-oriented education has become inevitably necessary even in developing countries like ours. Therefore, with the introduction of vocational education along with the conventional education system, the unemployment rate will be reduced and economic development will be possible. Our country is plagued by growing unemployment problem, social prejudice, overpopulation, political instability, terrorism on campus and so on. As one of the efforts to overcome this problem, it is important to educate the youth in appropriate constructive and career oriented education.
