Globally, physical inactivity is estimated to be responsible for some 1.9 (May, 2020) million deaths each year as a result of diseases such as heart ailments, cancer, and diabetes. In the 21st century, people are totally depended on medicine for various kinds of lifestyle diseases. There are different kinds of medical field such as Allopathy, Ayurveda and Homeopathy currently all over the world. People depend on those medical fields, according to their beliefs. Medicine is not a pure science, but is a science of probability. Every day, millions of people are using medicines for curing diabetes, blood pressure, body pain and fever. Today there is medicine for every disease. People are getting better life through the medical treatment. The study of medicine is the study of theory of living beings, healthy life through the tablets, syrups, exercises and other identical means. But we don’t know the actual matter of this modern medicine which we used. Modern medicine, though over prescription, represents a major threat to public health. Peter Gotzsche, Co-founder of the reputed Cochrane Collaboration, estimates that prescribed medicine is the third most common cause of death globally after heart disease and cancer. In the UK, use of prescription drugs is at an all-time high, with almost half of adults on at least one drug and a quarter on at least three- an increase of 47% in the past decades. Bob McCown, a physician said that ‘’Medicine is always two edged sword. Essentially all allopathic medicines have side effect and ill effect.’’ In Bangladesh, almost all people are badly depending on this allopathic medicine. Some common example mild adverse effect related to medicine include: constipation, skin rash or dermatitis, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, insomnia. Highlighted that,
n The main demerits of allopathy medicines are inherent side effects. The medicines which are used in the allopathic treatment are aimed to cure only the particular disease, and at the same time give birth to another disease in the body. For example, people are using allopathic medicine including paracetamol pill to cure fever. This medicine even though cure the fever, causes some allergic reaction in face, lips, tongue or throat and harmful effects such as jaundice, stomach pain (period pain) and affect liver.
n Modern medicine easily cures the diseases, but it doesn’t prevent the root of causing diseases. It also has the side effect which establishes more diseases in the living being’s body. Modern medicine is effective during the critical condition such as accidents, minor attacks and other accidental cases.
n Medicine practitioners examine the role of nutrition in chronic disease; they look at multiple systems, such as the digestive system, the immune system, and the detoxification system, because of the interconnection between those systems. For instance, because 80% of the immune system is contained in the gastrointestinal system, a person’s issues with immunity could be related to faulty digestion.
n Now-a-days people take antibiotics or all other medicine for the slightest disease plague, unnecessarily. These slowly damage our immune system and destroy the antibodies in our body. We should stop doing this otherwise we will not get any treatment or not recover any common disease in our body.
But we have to survive and what is needed for that! Only natural medicine or natural food can cure our diseases and gives us a healthy life. Medicine makes more people sick than it heals. Natural foods are key players in immune system. We must know about the immune system. Immune system is a means of protection against the damaging effects of noxas, which cause infection in our bodies. Immune system is a form of protection consisting of, thymus, spleen, lymph nodes and some specific immunity cells.
The immune system is made up of a network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body against infection and maintain overall health. Some factor that affect human immune system natural food or nutrition and vaccine or medicine also important factor among them. Synthetic food or any food, which have been highly sugared, salted and processed, are devoid of many of the nutrients and life-giving substances needed for optimal health. Food as close to their natural state, or as nature intended them to be consumed are, in contrast, rich in health-giving nutrients that sustain and energise us. Fresh, raw fruits and vegetable are also full the ‘’life-force’’ of nature, which along with vital vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients lead to a positive, natural state of physical and mental health and vibrancy. Natural food contains essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that may help protect us from chronic diseases. Compared with people who consume a diet with only small amounts of fruits and vegetable, those who eat more generous amounts as part of a healthful diet are likely to have reduced risk of chronic diseases, including stroke and perhaps other cardiovascular diseases and certain cancer. Feeding our body certain food may help keep our immune system strong.
Thomas Edison said that ‘’The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human fame with drugs, rather will cure and prevent diseases with nutrition.’’ Natural foods or whole foods have been provided for us by nature. They are the perfect foods for our bodies to thrive and survive on. It is said that the traditional medicine systems have a much longer history than the modern medicine and they are a significant part of the recorded history. The traditional medicine is also called folk medicine that explains the medicinal knowledge systems, which has developed over generations. It is the knowledge of skills and practices that are used for treatment of illness physically and mentally and motivate the health of the patients. DR. Libby Weaver also told that ‘’Nature gets it right, human intervention gets it wrong.’’ After all, we are part of nature and such are designed to thrive on natural food. We can certainly exist on processed foods; we cannot survive on these foods alone. The human body is an optimal environment for pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites to thrive. The immune system works no limit such microbe’s access to the body and prevent them from growing and causing illness. Each part of the immune system has a unique function and no medicine, only positive emotions and healthy lifestyle may boost our immunity.
