Rifat Murder: The Portrayal of a Degrading Society
Wisdom or cunningness, what is more needed in every aspect of life? In reality, a few people with wisdom can be found, whereas a lot of people with cunningness are on the rise day by day. Instantly we may get some outputs of our cunningness, but ultimately, a good number of people under us may face negative impact by the cunningness.
Cunningness has always an exploiting purpose, though nowadays we are fascinated by its rapid outcome. On the other hand, wisdom has always a far-sighted thinking and its output is a bit later. Cunningness has a purpose of showing off more than what it is. Wisdom has a matured mind-set.
Besides, wisdom has some collision with cunningness, though people with cunningness may achieve something at first attempt. However, whatever the output from cunningness may be, wisdom wins landslide victory in the final, though it may take some time.
Wisdom usually cannot be seen, rather it is to be understood. Cunningness can be seen from outside at first meet.
Anyway, in the GPA-5 or good GPA/CGPA making process, are not our institutions, be it schools, colleges or universities or many other institutions, making us more cunning than wise?

Though formal educational institutions shape up a person by giving a distinguished identity to single out among many, it is hurdles which are the best schools and can be termed as the best teachers that provide best lessons in life.
And by being an all-time learner of the world-school with so many ups and downs, a person gets familiarized with the outer world of real life teachers. Thus, prudence grows up and judiciousness plays in mind. The person becomes less reactive but more proactive that makes him/her to adopt to have a secure life. If the person can not achieve security in life, he/she may lose confidence for some time, but becomes braver, stronger, maturer, and more realistic.
Anyway, the society wants you to see in a position, and if you fail, you are undermined. If you achieve something, you are acclaimed a lot. What the benefits of the society with the overburdened expectations it pushes you to achieve remains unknown. Something you may achieve by that pressure but a potentiality may be lost.
And see, the world outside is an uneven one with many untested paths we are to walk, where inner world, most of the time, is prone to malpractice due to unhealthy competitions influenced by the outer world. The lavishness in life persuades us to adopt unfair means if we fall into the trap of more expectations than what we deserve. Ultimately, life may lose its meaning.
There are many ways of celebrating life and obviously, one should mark one’s days, but some restrains from celebrations to some extent can really work to understand different lives—lives of persons with disabilities, lives in prisons, lives out of power, lives with no money, lives of hands to mouths earning people, lives of so many people living with so much struggle and lives of hard living ones.
And contentment, what was deep in the mind is bound to yield itself to ultra-expectation, when that person does not go with the social foundations and hyper-competitions go on and on with no meaningful and sustainable outcomes. A disharmony in a harmonious life brings about. Balance in life at all levels, be it education or commerce or whatsoever, can effectively work if one adopts self-competition rather than hyper-competition with others.
If he or she keeps trying to outshine himself or herself in a unique way, diversities will come out, differences will happen, and creation will emerge. Ultimately, this sort of creativity and innovation will work as decorations and ornaments to present him or her and his or her society to the world outside. Besides, at least some individuals will come up with newer thoughts and ideas.
Last but not the least, whatever anyone is or whatever the society is, self-scrutiny can really work out when that person will feel what wrong he/she is doing. And thus a big part of accountability will effectuate. In this way, a great part of the of problems may get resolved. So, happy self-correction!
